In an era of hybrid and mobile work, the use of eSignatures has grown to support field sales and service activity whilst providing customer convenience. Solution adoption data from our recent independent study of SMB operations in the region shows 49% of SMBs have already implemented eSignatures with a further 33% intending to do so between within the next 24 months.

At the same time, as data regulations tighten, eSignatures are often the first link in an increasingly complex workflow chain that demands end-to-end security and compliance.

 

SMBs in the region have a heightened level of awareness around the risks associated with security gaps and compliance gaps in their operations.  

This can be seen in the high-to-critical business and IT objectives identified in in the study, highlighted in the graph below.

Add to this that:

  • 45% of SMBs intend to adopt hybrid cloud storage
  • 42% seek solutions with policies and governance for backup and recovery

The data all points to the need for a streamlined, secure and resilient solution that combines eSignature, identity access, secure backup, and scalable storage technologies.

Obtaining a digital signature on any binding document is only the beginning of the process, especially for SMBs operating in regulated sectors such as education, legal and financial services and healthcare. Signed documents must also be:

  • Stored according to regulatory standards
  • Protected against tampering or loss
  • Accessible only to authorised users
  • Recoverable in case of accidental deletion or cyber attack

By combining offerings from within Crayon’s portfolio, partners can design a layered solution to achieve those outcomes:

The result? SMBs gain a full compliance posture around their document and contract workflows—without adding unnecessary complexity.

Each vendor in this solution stack is API-first, cloud-enabled, and designed for modern integration scenarios:

  • SigniFlow integrates directly with Microsoft 365 and many ERP or CRM systems. Documents can be routed, signed and automatically archived.
  • Delinea offers connectors for cloud services, file systems, and enterprise identity tools such as Azure AD. Access to signed or archived documents can be governed via roles and conditional policies.
  • Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud includes backup and recovery with built-in protection against ransomware, ensuring that digital agreements are never compromised.
  • Wasabi’s S3-compatible storage integrates easily with backup platforms like Acronis or file archiving tools and supports granular access management for compliance use cases.
  • Little custom development is required—most integrations are pre-configured or enabled through user-friendly APIs, and Partners can deploy the full solution remotely.

Revenue and Retention.

Each vendor supports profitable partner engagement:

  • SigniFlow allows partners to offer white-labelled, regionally compliant e-signature services. Attach rates are high, especially when bundled with Microsoft 365.
  • Delinea has a well-established channel programme with good margins and ongoing service revenue through identity lifecycle management.
  • Acronis offers recurring revenue through its Cyber Protect Cloud licensing, with options for multi-tenant management and co-branded portals.
  • Wasabi is price disruptive and partner-friendly, enabling generous margins and predictable cost structures that partners can pass on to clients.

Together, this combination supports layered sales motions.

Partners can offer a sticky solution that ranges from project-based compliance upgrades to ongoing backup-as-a-service contracts.
