Microsoft is changing how expired CSP subscriptions are handled — and the free grace period is going away.
From May 4, 2026, eligible CSP subscriptions with auto‑renew turned off will automatically transition into a paid Extended Service Term (EST) unless partners take action. This introduces real financial, operational, and compliance risk if renewal settings are not actively managed.
