Essential Eight is Evolving
The Australian Signals Directorate has announced changes to the Essential Eight framework will be phased in over the next two years. Our latest blog breaks down what partners need to know now.
Crayon, a SoftwareOne company, has been recognized with 13 finalist nominations at the 2026 CRN Channel Awards Australia and CRN Channel Awards Asia, reinforcing its position as one of the region’s leading partner-first technology distributors.
The nominations span nearly every major distributor category across both award programs, recognizing Crayon’s work in cloud, security, AI, marketplaces, marketing, innovation, and channel leadership. More importantly, they reflect a strategy that has steadily redefined what partners can expect from a distributor.
As partners face shifts in cloud and AI, Crayon has continued investing beyond traditional distribution by expanding technical expertise, commercial advisory, managed services, enablement, marketplace capabilities, and partner success programs. The result is a services-led model designed to help partners build stronger, more profitable, and more sustainable businesses.
The company received the following finalist nominations:
CRN Channel Awards Australia
CRN Channel Awards Asia
The awards also celebrate three individuals whose leadership continues to shape Crayon’s culture and partner-first mindset:
“Being recognized in so many categories is incredibly rewarding because it reflects the impact our teams create alongside our partners every day,” said Mathew Howard, General Manager ANZ Channel at SoftwareOne. “These nominations belong to every person who has helped us build a business centered on expertise, collaboration, and helping partners succeed.”
“As Crayon and SoftwareOne come together, we’re bringing even greater scale, expertise, and capabilities to our partners here in the region. This recognition reinforces our commitment to continuing that investment and helping partners capture the opportunities created by cloud, security, and AI,” Vikas Bhonsle, Head of APAC Channel at SoftwareOne also proudly shared.
These nominations signal a shift in what the channel expects from distribution. By combining global scale with local expertise and a services-led approach, Crayon, a SoftwareOne company, is building a stronger organization that helps partners compete and innovate across APAC.
