CSP Key Updates

Changes in Microsoft and Office 365 Enterprise Licensing

As of October 1, 2024, Microsoft has removed Team Skills from the enterprise bundle.

The old Microsoft Office 365 enterprise with Team Skills has been deprecated from the CSP price list.

New subscriptions can no longer be provisioned, but existing customers can still upgrade to M365E3 with Teams. However, changes to billing terms or frequency are not allowed for commercial customers.

Launch of Office LTSC 2024

Microsoft has introduced Office LTSC 2024 in the CSP price list under the Perpetual price list. This is now available for customers who need perpetual licenses.

Auto Migration of Not-for-Profit Customers

Starting September 1st, Microsoft began auto-migrating NFP customers from legacy CSP to NCE.

If you have not seen previous advice regarding how to navigate auto-migration to NCE now is a good time to catch up.  Please reach out to your Crayon representative if you need guidance or support with your Non-Profit customers through this phase

Promotions and Discounts

Ask your Crayon account representative about:

  • NFP Transition promotion that waives monthly commit premium for eligible SKUs to the end of the year.
  • 15% discount for M365 Copilot and cashback offers on Copilot Readiness Assessments and Workshops
  • M365: 15% off for net new M365 E3 customers (ANZ) and 10% for ASEAN
  • Office 365 E1 and E Plus: 30% on new Office 365 E1.

Secure Productivity Insights.

Microsoft offers a comprehensive range of security features and functionalities, each with different strengths.

Michael Brooke provides a detailed run through of both Microsoft 365 Defender and Microsoft Sentinel.

Key Insights:

Microsoft Defender takes Microsoft signals and puts them into one place for monitoring of incidents and alerts.

Defender can be leveraged across all Microsoft platforms including identity, endpoints, devices and email.

Best for customers:

  • using M365 Business Premium,
  • predominantly in the cloud
  • that do not have a lot of legacy
  • that do not need to store data for a long time.

Microsoft Sentinel is more powerful. It pulls data in from sources beyond Microsoft platform and allows partners to do more on the threat hunting side.

Partners can leverage free data ingestion sources for Sentinel

It does require partners have more experience for implementation and ongoing management.

Best for customers:

  • with on-premise and cloud
  • with existing legacy infrastructure and applications
  • with a need to retain log data for more than six months.

Any partner looking at deploying Copilot Security should incorporate Sentinel into the strategy.

Introducing MDR ContraForce

Introducing MDR ContraForce

If you are currently outsourcing Managed Detection and Response (MDR, the latest addition to our security solutions portfolio gives partners a more affordable way to offer MDR services in-house.

MDR ContraForce offers a comprehensive security service delivery platform that enhances existing Microsoft security investments.

Key features include:

  • Multi-Tenant Management: Provides visibility across multiple customers in a single dashboard.
  • Automated Remediation: Allows for quick and efficient response to security incidents.
  • Integration with Existing Tools: Works seamlessly with Microsoft Defender and Sentinel, among other tools.
