HumanIT, a Crayon partner was engaged by WEstjustice, a community legal centre dedicated to serving marginalised groups in Melbourne’s western suburbs. Their core business focus revolves around addressing issues related to economic injustice, gender-based violence, and cultural diversity. By providing legal information, education, and services, WEstjustice strives to promote human rights and equality within the community.
Outdated systems caused inefficiencies in various aspects of their operations made it difficult for staff to access information when working remotely. There was no way to create integrated, or automated workflows, which resulted in high levels of duplicate effort and data. The heavy reliance on manual processes reduced productivity and sapped the time available for staff to focus on providing effective legal representation.
Recognising the importance of modernisation to better support their mission, the organisation sought a comprehensive digital transformation to streamline operations and empower their staff.
WEstjustice selected humanIT to deliver an all-encompassing solution aimed at driving digital transformation across the organisation. The solution would leverage the Microsoft cloud to deliver integrated communications and collaboration applications, document management and a greatly improved cybersecurity posture.
Crayon supported humanIT to access preferred pricing on solution licenses, via its Tech For Good program, and provided ongoing technical advisory throughout the solution implementation phase.
As a direct result of these enhancements, WEstjustice has experienced a remarkable 30% reduction in administrative overhead, allowing resources to be reallocated towards critical client-facing initiatives.
The time required for processing and managing cases has been halved, enabling the legal team to effectively double their caseload and provide essential support to a broader range of individuals.
This has translated into a 20% increase in overall client satisfaction and a notable 15% rise in successful case resolutions.
