The Start Up plan is ideal for getting your first transactable listing live on the AWS Marketplace and the Azure Marketplace, often with tiered flat rate pricing plans for your product.
The Scale Up plan is recommended for SaaS products that require advanced consumption-based pricing to their customers, referred to as Metered Billing on AWS Marketplace and the Azure Marketplace.
If in doubt, we recommend starting with the Start Up plan to become transactable and you are able to upgrade when your product billing requires a more advanced pricing model for more complex deals.
