Founded in 1999, Bigfish Technology is a Managed Service provider based in Melbourne, Australia. Whilst hundreds of companies rely on them to guide, manage and protect their IT and cloud investments, Bigfish Technology has built a concentrated position in financial, accounting and primary healthcare services.  

Niche specialisation in these sectors demands a deep understanding of specific regulatory and compliance requirements, and familiarity with platforms and systems that are often discrete to these industries. This means taking a ‘strategy first’ rather than a sales-led approach to customer engagement, especially when it comes to emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and the ever-evolving cybersecurity threat landscape. 

Bigfish Technology founder Tristan Ellett notes, their customers “are looking to us for ‘what’s the advice?’ What do they need to be aware of – because they don’t have an understanding of this space, that’s what they come to us for.” 

As such, Tristan encourages a team culture of ‘levelling up’, leaning into learning, and being constantly curious about technology trends, issues and innovations.
