SPLA Compliance: why it matters more than ever
Microsoft has announced price increases for the SPLA licensing program. Find out which products are affected and how Crayon can help you adapt before new prices take effect in January, 2025.
(Singapore) — Crayon, a global leader in IT services and innovation, has expanded its partnership with Wasabi Technologies following a highly successful collaboration and recognition as Wasabi’s APAC Distributor of the Year 2023. Building on the momentum, the partnership now extends to Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand, enhancing the availability of Wasabi’s hot cloud storage solutions for partners across the region.
The distribution agreement between Crayon and Wasabi was initially focused on Australia and New Zealand. The expanded focus will enable broader market penetration and deeper engagement in the rapidly growing data center landscapes of Southeast Asia. This strategic move aligns with the increasing data demands driven by AI and digitalization initiatives.
“The surge in data necessitates robust, scalable, and cost-effective storage solutions. Our partnership with Crayon empowers businesses to unlock the true potential of their data without being hindered by the complexities and costs associated with traditional cloud services,” said Michael King, APAC VP & GM at Wasabi Technologies.
Crayon’s extensive network of over 4,000 channel partners and MSPs in the APAC region will play a pivotal role in delivering Wasabi’s high-performance, secure and affordable cloud storage solutions to organizations across the ASEAN region. This collaboration is set to provide significant benefits, particularly as countries like Malaysia and the Philippines emerge as data center powerhouses with substantial investments in infrastructure.
“This partnership is a big step forward in supporting our partners and their customers. With Wasabi’s top-tier hot cloud storage, our channel partners can meet their customers’ needs more effectively,” said Warren Nolan, SVP Channel at Crayon.
By eliminating storage cost constraints with Wasabi’s model, businesses can focus on integrating AI and optimizing their budgets in the dynamic APAC market.
“At Crayon, our partners come first. Extending our partnership with Wasabi to ASEAN means we can provide them with the best tools and solutions available. This collaboration helps our partners and their customers succeed in a cloud-first world. Additionally, Crayon’s white-labeled services offer partners new revenue streams and enhance their competitiveness in the market. We are committed to supporting their growth and success,” said Rhonda Robati, EVP APAC at Crayon.
