The Zimbra Business Service Provider Program is a licensing program allowing partners to host Zimbra software in their own data centres to provide the collaboration service back to end customers.
The Zimbra VAR program allows partners to provide value-added sales and services to Zimbra end-customers, across multiple geographies and industry verticals. There are three designation levels of VARs: Authorised, Silver and Gold. Please refer to the Program Prerequisites section, in the Zimbra partner Portal, for more details.
There is a monthly minimum spend of 200$ USD for a new BSP partners. Higher tiers like Silver BSP and Gold BSP has a monthly minimum spend of $1000 USD and $5000 USD respectively.
BSP Partners can attain three levels of status with Zimbra, Gold, Silver and Registered Partner.
Partners are required to host their solutions in a multi-tenant environment for end-user organisations to become registered partners as a pre-requisite. For Silver and Gold, there is a higher monthly revenue commitment requirement with stronger eligibility requirements around technical proficiency and customer satisfaction ratings.
Zimbra has both a free Open-Source Edition as well as a premium Network Edition but Zimbra 9, which is the latest version, is exclusively only in Network Edition.
