The benefits of moving from on-prem to cloud for Dynamics 365 Business Central are clear: greater flexibility, modern features, and a lower long-term cost of ownership. However, the upfront investment in implementation can be a sticking point. Small to medium size customers can hesitate when faced with the reality of migration services costs, even when they know the move will benefit them in the long run.
That is where Microsoft’s new Business Central Migration Voucher promotion comes in. Designed to take cost off the table, this promotion gives partners and customers a new funding route to help move Business Central migration projects forward.
Running from July 17, 2025 through June 30, 2026, this promotionprovides voucher funding of up to 100% of Year 1 billed revenue (net to Microsoft), capped at $150,000 USD. For eligible opportunities with a minimum of $50K in Year 1 billed revenue, it means customers can migrate without the financial burden that often slows down decision making. For partners, it means less time managing objections and more time focusing on value.
There are, of course, some important details to be aware of so let’s run some of the fine print for the Business Central Migration Voucher promotion:
1. The voucher is available only for new customers to Business Central. That includes those migrating from Dynamics on premise solutions such as AX, NAV, GP, SL, or BC On premise.
2. CSP deals are eligible with annual or three-year commitments and annual payment schedules, though public sector customers are excluded.
3. Partners also need to be ECIF eligible and active members of the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program in order to participate.
The process itself is designed to be as smooth as possible. You will work with your Microsoft team to nominate the opportunity, and once approved, your customer will receive their voucher.
From there, redemption is simple: vouchers must be redeemed within six months of issuance, and funding is disbursed quickly once the required documentation is submitted.
For customers, the benefits are obvious: reduced cost, faster time to value, and peace of mind knowing they will not face unexpected price hikes after the promo period. For partners, the advantages are just as strong: accelerated deal closures, predictable approval timelines, and a competitive edge when bidding against others in the market.
The bottom line is that this is a limited time offer with limited vouchers available. If you have been waiting for the right moment to help your customers, make the leap to Business Central, this is it.
